Edgar Brandt presented at the Exposition des Arts Décoratifs, Paris 1925, a large wrought iron, part-gilt screen entitled L'Oasis. Showing a stylised fountain amongst luxurious vegetation, the screen was punctuated by wrought iron medallions cast with stylised motifs which both in design and decorative usage were very similar to the wrought iron and glass medallions of the present screen.
