A Meissen figure of a Malabar musician
Circa 1880, blue crossed marks, Pressnummern 85 and 51 and incised 1519.
Modelled in a fur-lined puce cloak and blue dress with flowered sleeves and underdress, playing a hurdy-gurdy and wearing a conical hat, standing beside an urn on an oval green mound base moulded with gilt-scrolls (minor chipping to end of instrument and foliage, chips to base)
