The circular top cast in relief with scrolling foliage and cornucopia within a moulded edge, centred by a dish-shaped portrait roundel of Louis XVI, signed L. MORIN, within an outer band of twelve alternately shaped inset panels, each signed L. MORIN, depicting couples in 18th century costume within landscape settings, above a scroll frieze, supported on an onyx upright with a turned shaft and stepped foot, with three scolled mounts and hung with foliate swags, on a triform foot with a scroll inset frieze
