In the Empire Revival Style, By Rosel, Brussels, Circa 1890
Comprising an armoire, a double bed, a mirrored dressing-cabinet and a pair of bedside-tables;
The armoire of breakfront outline, with an arched pediment above a moulded edge, above three bevelled mirrored doors, the central door fitted with an oval glass, flanked to each side by a turned column, the whole flanked on each side by a square tapering caryatid column, on stepped plinth, fitted with three drawers, on claw feet;
The bed with an arched head-board, flanked on each side by a column and cast capital, the foot-board headed by a fluted toprail, above a decorated semi-lune panel, bearing the silvered metal maker's label Rosel, Bruxelles, each joined by stepped rectangular supports, on four claw feet;
The dressing-cabinet with an arched pediment and flanked to each side by a column with Corinthian capital, the rectangular cipollino marble top above a pair of frieze drawers and a pair of cupboard doors below, the interior fitted with three drawers, flanked on each side by caryatid columns, on stepped eared plinth base, on claw feet;
The bedside-cabinets each with a cipollino marble top with eared corners and a moulded edge, above a drawer and single cupboard door, the interior lined with white marble, on circular fluted legs, joined by an undertier, on claw feet
