In the Louis XVI Style, Circa 1890
Comprising a canapé and a pair of fauteuils, each piece upholstered in an Aubusson tapestry, the backs depicting Francis I, Louis XIV and Louis XVI on horseback, with their palaces in the background, the seats showing animals with palaces in the backgrounds, with titles to the edges (now indistinct), each with a channelled frame, the canapé corbeille with an arched back centred by a foliate cresting, with downswept sides and with three hob-nailed panels, the arm terminals carved with acanthus, above a cushion seat, the outer sides each with a tapestry panel, the seat rail with an arcaded frieze below, on fluted tapering legs
