A DUTCH FIGURED-WALNUT CORNER CABINET
Early 18th Century
The moulded gabled top above a pair of doors crossbanded with scrolled cartouches, and crossbanded to the reverse, enclosing three shaped and parcel-gilt shelves lined with pink velvet, the lower section with conforming decoration, enclosing a shelf, flanked by panelled sides, on a moulded plinth base and bun feet, one foot with repairs, minor restorations and losses to the mouldings, the back inscribed in chalk 'Davis', fitted for electricity, the central four inch section of the cornice replaced probably in place of a finial, possibly German
