Pheasants in a Wooded Landscape

This is based on a painting by Stephen Elmer which was engraved by Scott for the Rev. W.B. Daniels' Rural Sports published in 1812. H.C. Smith (possibly Henry Clarendon Smith) exhibited sporting subjects at the Royal Academy between 1820 and 1833.
