A watercolour of similar size entitled A Frosty Dawn - A Covey of Partridges with a Flock of Lapwings in flight beyond, included in John Southern, Thorburn's Birds and Mammals, p.84, illustrated, was sold in the sale of works by Archibald Thorburn from the Thorburn Museum, 31 March, 1993, lot 65, for £48,300.
