Lot Essay

Double Chance, a chestnut gelding by Roi Herode or Day Comet out of Kelibiathan was owned by Mr. D. Goold and was the winner of the 1925 Grand National. He was ridden by the amateur, Major J.P.Wilson, who beat the favourite, Mrs W.H. Dixon's Old Tay Bridge by four lengths.
