Each painted around the sides with scholars conversing in a pavilion setting, above a lappet band at the base, supported on a raised foot with a band of descending stiff leaves, the central roundel at the interior with a scholar seated beneath a pine tree within a treble-line circle and a trellis-pattern band at the splayed rim, one with rim chips restored, the other with rim frits and incised tian (heaven) character
