Lot Essay

Interestingly, a pair of granit gris vases of closely related form was recorded in the Invemtory of the Grand Trianon in 1833, and these are discussed in D. Ledoux-Lebard, Le Grand Trianon, Paris, 1975, Tome I, p.28.
