The enamel cabochon glazed dial signed 'ALAR A PARIS' and decorated with Arabic and Roman numerals, the arched door flanked by upspringing acanthus and C-scrolls and surmounted by a rockwork and C-scroll cartouche, the removable cresting mounted with an assymetrical spray of flowers, the waved apron centred by a further foliate cartouche and standing on pierced C-scroll feet, the tapering bracket mounted with a C-scroll and foliate border and above a rocaille boss, the movement later, the door of the reverse stamped 'DUHAMEL' and 'JME'
15 1/4in. (39cm.) wide; 36 1/4in (90 cm.) high overall.
