A SWEDISH ORMOLU AND CUT-GLASS SIX-LIGHT CHANDELIER
Late 18th Early 19th Century
The pierced circular corona hung with needles and surmounted by a waved tier of garlanded drops, above a spreading circular body hung with drops and terminating in a pierced ormolu waist with entrelac and berried foliate rosettes issuing six spirally-fluted branches with stiff-leaf nozzles, the tapering base above a further ring and facetted-glass ball-boss, restorations and replacements, drilled for electricity, originally with twelve branches
