A PAIR OF REGENCE WALNUT FAUTEUILS A LA REINE
Each with waved arched padded back covered in close-nailed gold silk floral damask within a chanelled and foliate-trailed frame centred by a scallop-shell, the arm terminals carved with stylised rosettes and acanthus, the waved frieze centred by a foliate C-scroll cartouche with acanthus sprays, on foliate cabochon-headed cabriole legs and scrolled foliate feet, restorations and replacements particularly to the right hand arm, right style and back legs of one chair, one front leg resupported with a later block, the styles with constructional cuts, with traces of red toile du jung covering beneath, possibly German (2)
