A Kon Ito Odoshi Do-Maru [An Armour With Dark Blue Laced Cuirass Wrapping Round The Body Without Hinges]

The very fine armour of hon kozane laced in dark blue, comprising a richly mounted twenty-four plate o-boshi kabuto [a low rounded helmet], eighteen of the plates with standing flanges and eight large rivet heads [hoshi], the remaining plates overlaid by two decorative plates in gilded copper and shakudo, engraved with a design of flowers and having three shinodare to the front in the same metal, at the base of the bowl a row of rivets, the four lame kebiki laced plates for the o manyo jikoro [large rounded neckguard] with a copper gilt kanamono on the last two plates, a six stage tehen kanamono, the bowl signed Miochin, the front of the helmet decorated with a copper gilt and shakudo kuawagata dai with a bronze maedate of a dragon, the mask well forged with wrinkles, a long hair moustache, the yodarekake and the nodowa mounted to match, the kebiki bachi do-maru has gyoyo and kusazuri in eight sections, each with kanamono to the lower plates, fine o sode mounted to match, black lacquered iron o-tateage suneate, bearskin boots and a sahai [a taselled baton], with an armour box
