The broad oval iron Heian-jo plate with brass inlay of kiku and a mantis, Edo Period (17th century); sentoku, formed as a mass of peony blossom, Edo Period (19th century); round, with large namako shaped piercings and carved as basketwork, Edo Period (19th century); another, with a tsuchime-ji plate, gilt inlay of a clematis twining around a stick, some of the leaves in sukashi, Shoami school, Edo Period (early 19th century); and another lightly carved with waves and a pine and with iroe zogan of fishermen drawing in a net, signed Kato Shigemitsu and kao, Edo Period (18th century)
