A LARGE FOLIATE RIMMED IMARI DISH
Edo Period (Late 17th Century)
Decorated in various coloured enamels and gilt, the centre with a vase containing peony blossom within a roundel bordered by four shaped panels depicting pavilions among vegetation and stylised floral design, the rim with a band of pine, plum blossom and bamboo, the reverse with flowers and foliage, some rubbing to the enamels
