An Ovoid Shaped Copper Vase
Signed Sembai Tokukyo, number 2211815 and Takeuchi sei in a dragon and cloud edged medallion reserve, Meiji Period (Late 19th/Early 20th Century)
The neck below the rim decorated with a key-fret pattern, one of shippo style and a third of chidori in waves, formed into circular medallions, below the three bands a draped curtain pierced with split bamboo summer blinds, on the bulbous body two flower arrangements, one in a basket and the other in a vase on a stand, the decoration etched into relief from the ground which was lacquer-gilded before the masking wax was removed
