Of tapering form carved in high relief with Shohaku facing towards the rear, as he sits on an ox with gilded horns, riding on the shore of a lake, beside a pine, the reverse with a Chinese poem, the characters carved in relief, the sides of the inro carved in shishiaibori with Chinese-style formal decoration
3.7/8 x 1.11/16 [tapering to 16] x 1¼in. (9.7 x 4.3 [tapering to 4cm.] x 3.2cm.)
