Title set along upper margin, dedication incorporating the arms of Genoa extending along lower margin, the sea decorated with ships, barges, and fishing vessles. A fine view of Genoa from the sea, showing the full extent of the city walls, the famous lanterna and harbour, the churches and palaces, including that of the Doria family with its famous garden, the town set against the background of the surrounding hills. This view is dedicated to the Groppallo family, a noble family from Piacenza, whose history and prominence in Genoa is recuonted in the legend. Watermark fleur-des-lys above three small hillocks in a circle.
