A rare and very early separately issued plan of Pisa, covering the city in its entirety and showing on the left the Campo dei Miracoli with its famous Baptistry and leaning tower. Soli was a Sienese architectural draughtsman, painter, and engraver, who worked with Lafreri and Florimi. His is also knwon for a views of Siena (undated), Zighet (Rome, Lafreri, 1566), Jerusalem (undated), and Malta (undated). This plan is in the British Libray map room, which has no earlier separately issued map of Pisa. Soli does not record Soli in his Dictionary of Mapmakers.
