VERY RARE. A fine dark impression of the Rocca of Orvieto, feudal capital of the Monaldeschi family. The Cathedral of Santa Maria, one of the outstanding examples of Italian gothic architecture, dominates the centre of the city. Cavellerijs, a native of Trieste, was a famous engraver active in Rome during the 1580s, and made numerous engravings after various Italian Renaissance artists. His work is considered to be in the style of Enea Vico of Parma. Tooley 425, recording ONE OTHER COPY ONLY.
