A George II covered beer jug
of baluster form, on spreading circular foot, a leaf-capped, harp-shaped handle and a flared spout with a ribbed girdle and a plain drop, the domed cover surmounted by an artichoke finial, engraved with an armorial within a foliate scroll cartouche and inscribed underneath with a scratchweight, "61-5", by Thomas Whipham, 1748 - 31cm high, 60oz.
