A late 19th century French Champleve enamel mounted tea service, comprising:-
a two-handled tray of shaped lozenge outline; a teapot; a milk jug; a sugar bowl and cover; two tea cups; two saucers; two teaspoons; and a pair of sugar tongs, all decorated with oval panels of engraved floral sprays on a pale blue ground, flanked by black, gothic style borders, areas of black enamelled diaperwork and white linear border decoration, monogrammed, by an unascribed maker, J.G., ladder between, circa 1880, (excepting the sugar tongs, by E.Puiforcat, to match) - the tray - 49cm wide, 114oz gross.
