the rectangular top (lacking marble inset) with D-shaped ends and a moulded brass edge above a conforming frieze, with two drawers opposed by false drawers and centred on each side by a beaded oval porcelain plaque, the tapering porcelain legs decorated with foliate swags and acanthus scrolls headed by gadrooned gilt metal Ionic capitals, with shaped brass-inlaid and rosette decorated stretchers and a central porcelain stretcher raised on toupee feet, the locks stamped D.L. Diehl, Paris, 19, Michel le Comte -- 63in. (160cm.) wide
