A gilt metal and shagreen verge oignon watch with alarm, Rey A Copet, late 17th Century,
cartouche dial with gilt plate, white enamel cartouches with black Roman numerals, central alarm disc with Arabic cartouches, eccentric winding holes for going and alarm trains, single steel hand, signed gilt fusee movement with divided tapering pillars, foliate engraved alarm barrel, later bell, the case with pierced gallery beneath the hinged bezel, overlaid with shagreen, diameter 54mm.
