and his assistant flanked by children -- 1.5/8in. (4.2cm) high; a stag antler netsuke of a man crawling through a tree trunk, a figure to either side -- 1.3/8in. (3.5cm) high, signed; an ivory seal type netsuke modelled as a the bust of a horse, inset eyes -- 1.5/8in. (4.2cm) high; another of a tortoise -- 1¼in. (3.2cm) long; a soapstone netsuke of a buffalo on a square base -- 1½in. (3.8cm) wide; a miniature leather tobacco pouch and attached cylindrical stained bone netsuke with inset compass -- 1½in. (3.8cm) long; and a Japanese silver cigarette case incised with the seven Immortals -- 4in. (10.2cm) wide, signed and stamped. (7)
