An 18th Century gold mourning brooch,
of oval locket form, enclosing a painted miniature of winged cherubs above four applied hair and wirework initials with skull and crossed bones centre, the reverse with inscription:- Dougald Clerk of Bralecken His Wife and Children Sarah, John, Adam, Gabriel July 12th 1755, (modified from a clasp).
