A 19th Century Viennese gold, diamond and ruby two stone ring,
designed as a Renaissance style gimmel ring, the high cusped bezel set with a single diamond and ruby with engrailed, white enamel shoulders, and polychrome enamel reverse, the twin hoops dividing to reveal a black enamel inscription was gott zusamenfuegt, sol der mensch nicht trenen (what god creates man must not divide), the shank with Vienna marks.
