A Tang painted pottery horse and groom
the horse standing with right foreleg raised and head turned to its left, wearing a bridle, saddle and trappings decorated with foliate and circular pendants, the bearded groom wearing a hat and tunic, standing with his right arm outstretched, decorated in orange, blue, green, white and black pigments -- the groom 14½in. (37cms) high, (old wear, some restoration, some pigments touched up), wood stand.
