An early 19th century South African colonial beaker
of plain tapering form with a moulded rim, gilt interior and a border of wriggle-work around the base, initialled "JVDB" by Jan Lotter, of the Cape, circa 1815 - 6cm high; together with an early 19th century South African colonial snuff box of plain oblong form, decorated with 'pricked' wavy borders and bright-cut foliage, initialled "L.C.M.V" on the cover, (slight damage) by Lawrence Holme Twentyman, of the Cape, circa 1820 - 7.5cm x 5cm, 7oz.
