Two similar Chinese blue and white plates
painted with central scenes of couples on terraces before pavilions overlooking rocky gardens of willow and bamboo, all within borders of shaped panels of scholars and boys in gardens on hatch-pattern grounds -- 10in. (25.4cm.) and 10½in. (26.6cm.) diam, one with Chenghua six-character mark, the other with Kangxi six-character mark, both Kangxi.
