A FINE LATE HELLENISTIC GOLD AND EMERALD PENDANT EARRING ORNAMENT
LATE 2ND-1ST CENTURY B.C.
In the form of a crown of Isis with 'sun disc' and two granulated gold tapering 'feathers', another disc below with opaque green quartz inlay, with pearls attached and two gold pendant discs, a finely granulated gold 'amphora'-shaped pendant below, the handles in the form of elegantly curved dolphins, the body of the tapering amphora of emerald, tapering ear hoop now coiled at the back
