A ROMAN BRONZE 'BOXER' RELIEF HANDLE FROM AN OINOCHOE
CIRCA 1ST-2ND CENTURY A.D.
With scene of two dwarves boxing or wrestling, the standing figure, whose right leg is being firmly held, holding the top-knot of his opponent while about to deliver a blow with his right hand, with umpire standing to the right and Herm to their left, the bar above decorated with relief of a lion-head, with hooked bucket below, a chopper, and the profile head of an athlete or theatrical mask facing left
