A LATE HELLENISTIC FRAGMENTARY TERRACOTTA FIGURE OF DIONYSOS
CIRCA 1ST CENTURY B.C.
With small traces of gilding, the youthful god depicted with powerful neck and sensual lips, gazing towards his right with left arm raised, naked save for an animal skin draped diagonally across his chest and over his left shoulder, an ivy-wreath in his hair which has been swept back above his brow, lower body and arms missing, repaired, mounted

A French old collection label on the base reads that the terracotta comes from "...Philomelaum (Cilicia)..."
