A Charles II ascribed West Country apostle spoon,
the gilt figure of the saint, (possibly St.Matthew) with a polyfoil, petal-shaped nimbus, the back of the bowl pricked "ML, IC, 1663", makers mark on the back of the stem, town mark in the bowl and also bearing a later, 19th century French duty mark, by Arthur Glanville, Exeter, circa 1663 - 19.25cm long, 1.75oz.
