A mid 17th century unascribed provincial apostle spoon:
St James the Greater, of good gauge, the gilt figure of the saint facing to the right, with sacred dove nimbus, on a broad hexagonal stem with a large, fig-shaped bowl, pricked on the back "G.B.B. G.M" struck three times on the back of the stem with a cinquefoil mark, unascribed, possibly West Country, circa 1640 - 18.5cm long, 2oz.
