with two small notched 'ears' and a ribbed rat-tail, worn, scratched "M.R.E" at the top of the stem and later crested, one mark struck thrice on the back of the stem, (a rampart lion in an oval punch), unascribed, probably Newcastle, circa 1680 - 18.5cm long, 1oz.
