Lot Essay

The engageantes, kerchiefs and lace said to have been from HLM Queen Victoria's dress before 1857; the socks are said to have been worn by HRH Prince Leopold and the cap HRH Victoria, The Princess Royal, later HIM The Empress Frederick. The orange blossom is said to have been used on HLM Queen Victoria's Wedding dress and the orchid is said to have formed part of the decoration of HLM Queen Mary's Wedding table.
