A George III mahogany concertina action card table
The rectangular hinged top opening to reveal a green baize lined playing surface, above a plain frieze applied with ovolo mouldings, the underside fitted with a sliding panel with a recessed compartment, on chamfered channelled square legs headed with foliate-carved angle brackets and terminating in block feet, the hinges stamped twice H.Tibats

Lot Essay
The "H. Tibats" hinge is recorded on a number of 18th century concertina action card tables. Tibats was clearly an important source of iron fittings and was probably based in London or Birmingham.
