The waisted case modelled with openwork scrolls and applied overall with flowers and trailing leaves, the conforming naturalistic base mounted with figures a lady and gentleman in Louis XVI costume seated on armchairs, the white enamel Roman dial with Arabic five minutes and within a gilt bezel, with pierced gilt hands, the twin barrel movement with strike on bell, stamped for LENZKIRCH; and the pair of candlesticks en suite, modelled as tree trunks entwined with roses and mounted with clambering cherubs, each naturalistic base mounted with the figure of a standing girl in rustic costume
