An ormolu and blue and white jasperwear garniture de cheminee
Late 19th early 20th Century
Comprising a mantel clock and a pair of five-light candelabra, the mantel clock with waisted acanthus-wrapped case set with placques with classical scenes, surmounted by an urn and flanked by quivers filled with arrows, the circular white-enemalled dial with Arabic numerals, pierced gilt-metal hands, the twin-going barrel movement stamped JAPY FRERES & Cie MED. D'HONNEUR, with outside countwheel strike on bell, on rounded breakfront base, on scrolling feet; The candelabra conformingly decorated, each with baluster stem issuing a central light with flaming finial, surrounded by four scrolling branches with circular nozzles
The mantel clock 46cm. high x 28cm. wide x 16.5cm. deep; the candelabra 53cm. high
