The pierced shaped toprail carved with foliage and centred by an eagle, above a padded oval covered in polychrome foliate gilt-leather, framed by pierced scrolling foliage and flanked by spirally-turned columns, the scrolling arms carved with acanthus, the padded seat carved conformingly, on spirally-turned legs joined by an H-shaped stretcher, the front stretcher carved with foliage, probably originally caned, restorations
