A Belle Epoque Cabochon Emerald, Ruby and Diamond Pendant
Of openwork design, the garland and scroll circular-cut diamond surmount suspending a square-cut emerald and two diamond collet lines of graduated length circled by a diamond set hoop and each terminated by a cabochon ruby and cabochon emerald within a circular-cut diamond surround, with fine link back chain, with maker's mark and French assay mark, circa 1910
Stamped with maker's mark for George Le Saché
It is interesting to note that Le Saché actually worked for Boucheron in the 1890's. According to Gilles Néret, author of "Boucheron, Four Generations of a World-Renowned Jeweller", he is the maker of an engraved rock crystal ink-well in 1893 which is illustrated on page 36 of the same book. (2)
