13 November 1788:"The Mosque at Moneah...is one of the highest finished pieces of Architecture we have seen in the Country, built entirely of Stone". It is in fact a mausoleum erected for the Muslim saint, Makhadam Shah Daulat, died in 1608 and who was interred at Maner.
