A FINE MING-STYLE DOUCAI WINECUP
YONGZHENG SIX-CHARACTER MARK WITHIN A DOUBLE SQUARE AND OF THE PERIOD

The finely potted winecup painted and enamelled in Chenghua-style with four chrysanthemum roundels, surrounded by stylised lotus sprays, all between two single blue lines below the rim and at the base
2 7/8 in. (7.3 cm.) diam.

Previously sold in Hong Kong, 29 October 1991, lot 212.

A larger but similarly decorated bowl was sold in these Rooms, 31 October 1994, lot 613. Compare also with a pair of Yongzheng-marked bowls in the S.C. Ko Tianminlou Collection, Catalogue, no. 100, and another exhibited by the Min Chiu Society, Splendour of the Qing Dynasty, 1992, Catalogue, no. 173.
