A CLOISONNE ENAMEL AND GILT-BRONZE TRIPOD CENSER AND COVER
18TH/19TH CENTURY

Enamelled around the body with a continuous lotus scroll, set at the shoulders with a pair of elephant-head handles and supported on gilt tripod feet fashioned as harnessed elephant-trunks, the domed cover enamelled with a further band of lotus flowers below a pierced floral scroll and topped by a recumbent elephant supporting a vase on its back as the finial
