A VIENNA STYLE PALE-YELLOW AND APPLE-GREEN GROUND PART CHOCOLATE SERVICE
late 19th century, bearing enameled blue beehive marks
Modelled in the Empire style with eagle handles and finials, decorated with a continuous band of putti at various leisure pursuits on a gilt seeded pale-yellow ground, reserved within gilt beaded bands on the apple-green ground further gilt with a band of pendent husks and with a band of moulded stiff-leaf tips enriched in gilt, comprising:
A chocolate pot and cover with dragon spout, 9in. (24.8cm.) high
A two-handled sugar-bowl and cover, 6in. (17.2cm.) wide overall
A milk-jug, 7in. (17.8cm.) high
Six footed chocolate-cups and saucers (15)
