See Rainer Rckert, Meissener Porzellan 1710-1810, Munich, 1966, no. 502, illus. plate 127 for an 18th century example of this model which was originally conceived by Kndler for the 'Swan Service' commissioned to celebrate the wedding of Heinrich Graf von Brhl, director of the Meissen factory from 1735-1763, and his wife Grffin Franziska von Kolowrat-Krakowska whom he married in 1737.
