AN ORMOLU-MOUNTED SVRES LATER DECORATED GREEN-GROUND POT POURRI VASE AND COVER
The porcelain 18th century, the decoration and mounts circa 1820
The pierced cover as an arbor of grapes, the scroll handles with acanthus terminals, the shoulder with applied anthemion centering a rosette within chased bands of Greek key, beading and stiff-leaf tips, the bowl painted with quatrefoil panels of winged fairies assembling a loose bouquet and of a loose bouquet reserved on the green ground within chased gilt bands and further gilt ribbon-tied berried branches, the bowl supported on a base of highly chased beading and variant stiff-leaf tips, the gadrooned socle within berried wreath, on square plinth
